Today marks one year since I become a digital nomad.
Although I’ve now attached myself to this identity, it’s more of a reflection of the values which I now embrace and prioritise. Before ‘digital’ was added, nomads were ultimately minimalists who value experiences over possessions. Embracing many of the mindfulness principles, the approach to life is much more focussed on being fully grateful for this moment and making the most of every day.
Over the last year I’ve been able to live fully awake, without the restraints of the system. Embracing globalisation, the sharing economy & the wonderful opportunities technology enables for us all.
I’ve learnt so much about myself, the world around me & been able to really appreciate this beautiful life.
I’ve just finished editing my book ‘Learning to Wake Up’ which I’m releasing on Amazon next month. From systematic city life to nomadic freedom, I’ve compacted the wisdom from my transformation into this book. I wanted to produce a guide for people who really want change but don’t know how to start. Unlike other books which show you have to create a business, or become a freelancer – I wanted to focus on the root of the challenge. The adjustments required on an emotional level and the changes in mindset needed to truly adjust your life. Whether you want to travel the world, or find more freedom where you are – I’m positive you’ll take something from this work. I’ll be posting the link in November, where you can download from the Amazon Kindle Store (available on Kindle or iPad).
If you’re looking at making changes in your life – I salut you. Be brave and remember that your life can be anything you want it to be. Don’t simply exist in the legacy system which no longer serves most people. As always, I’d love to talk to you and help wherever possible – if you’d like to discuss your plans feel free to reach out on the contact page.
